When I met Greg, during the first year when we started, dating we went to Pride in the summer. I had gotten down there earlier than expected, and he had just finished work, so we decided to do our ritual early (The BEST Chinese food on Spadina [Chinatown]) and headed back to his place to drop off my stuff, and start a night of further debauchery.

On our way home, holding hands, we encountered a VERY drunk man. He looked at us and slurred, "Happy Pride." Not wanting to be rude Greg had said, "Happy Pride." back. Which then triggered the following:

"Y'know. Gay people are so amazing. Are you guys like LEGO blocks or something. Does everything just fit together?"

We, no word of a lie, stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and laughed and laughed and laughed.

It quickly became a joke to us, and then with all seriousness one day Greg asked, if we made it to 2 years together, would I be serious about getting a tattoo of a LEGO block on my body. Not thinking that we would last that long and that it was a joke I agreed.

Yesterday, I got a LEGO block tattooed on my ass.

Mine is red, Greg's is blue.

Wow, has it been that long already? Strange... Also, I have money so I can come and visit you two now. And you can feed me food that isn't Instant Ramen.
Why would anyone choose a life of combat, uncertainty and risk in a world filled with dangers rather than the sane, sensible life of a cubicle-dwelling surface yuppy?

Because sanity is for the weak.

About time! Greg found a thing that's for a convention at the end of the month. Dunno if we're going. Either way, you should come downtown before then.

Do it!

aww, adorable!! That's possibly the best private joke i've ever heard :)
It can seem like a someivoshino a cherry blossom petal,
that dances sadly. The stain is the moon that's fullfilled.
